Parry Coffee Roasters
In February 2016, Parry Coffee Roasters of Ambler, Pennsylvania wanted to build a new website to feature and sell their coffee beans. They had a new logo designed by Lisa Anderson and some interesting rubber stamps made to print on their coffee bags. I created web graphics, selected a color palette and font family, and, using their chosen Shopify theme, created their current website.
The first and most important item on their list was to create some kind of imagery to represent their product on their online shop. They were not sure that still photography was the way they wanted to be represented, so they asked me to come up with some illustrations. When I visited their roasting plant to get a better idea of their personal style, I was drawn to the large burlap bags that their coffee beans are shipped in from all over the world. Each bag had a unique stencil print in a saturated color that contrasted powerfully with the texture and color of the burlap. Using this style, I created images for each roast for the online shop.
Throughout the print and web material I created for Parry Coffee Roasters, I incorporated watercolors and hand drawn imagery. I particularly enjoyed drinking their excellent product while creating authentic coffee stains and splashes.
